I would like to start by introducing myself

My name is Susanne Soltvedt and I founded the Fountain Chateau Bed and Breakfast in 2009. I have been in the hospitality business for over 26 years. I truly enjoy running Fountain Chateau B&B and getting to know each person who comes through my doors, whether it be for Sunday brunch, an overnight stay, or stopping by for an ice cream cone while you take a break from the bike trail.

Fountain Chateau History

The Fountain Chateau building has a long history. The building was originally built back in 1922 and was called the Traveler’s Home Hotel. Then in 1944 the building was renamed the Fountain Lutheran Mission Home. In 2009 renovations transformed the building into the welcoming, peaceful haven it is today. Much of the historic building is still intact, such as the beautiful chandeliers, wood work, staircases and so much more. We now offer eight unique rooms that reflect on different cultural ambiances of travel, art, music and literature. There are also many public areas to relax in such as the living room with a cozy fireplace, the dining room, reception area, a library, and an outside deck. We also have a massage therapist by appointment. In addition to our overnight guests, we welcome you to hold your special events with us, such as parties, bridal or wedding showers, and family reunions.

I am currently revamping my website and Facebook page and hope that you will follow us. Once our new website is up and running we will post a blog every few weeks to inform you of upcoming events in our area as well as some of my favorite recipes. On our Facebook we will be posting recipes, current events and fun things to do in the area. We will also be posting our menu for our monthly Breakfast Buffet served the first Sunday of every month during the summer months.  As always we serve plated breakfast as well every Sunday.

There are several festivities coming up in July to take advantage of while you stay with us.
